Here are some really wonderful AKG workhorses from the mid 70’s. With a 3 way hi-pass filter, heavy rugged construction, this is an excellent and affordable vintage AKG dynamic cardioid.
Compared with the AKG 190e’s of a similar era, their frequency response is slightly flatter/more true, and they don’t taper off below 10K, so you’ll have a bit more air with these D1200’s.
An excellent snare or guitar cab mic, an excellent live vocal mic, or even for acoustic, percussion, or a wide variety of sources. Could also be a wonderful bass cab mic paired with D/I.
