Description
Excellent, late 60’s Sennheiser MD421 N. The white 421’s are famous for good reason. When maintained properly, they are one of the most versatile dynamic mics ever made. I don’t have to tell you what sources love to project into these mics, and the list is too long to write anyway!
See the video on this post for a whole stage of 421’s, with everything sounding awesome.
Oftentimes old 421’s suffer from iron/magnetic dust on their diaphragm, destroying low end response. Not here! Internals and diaphragm have been cleaned, the mic is operating with full beautiful low end.
This one is nice cosmetic shape, but not perfect. It has a little bit of honest wear that isn’t impacting anything functionally. Had an on/off switch installed at one point, which is bypassed now. There are a couple hairline cracks on the bottom of the body, but they are stable. Grill isn’t perfect but isn’t close to impacting the capsule. All in all, a beautiful microphone ready for studio or stage.
Custom 3D printed clip and tuchel tail included. Sennheiser leather/foam case available or handmade padded pouch.
