Typical services
We clean dynamic microphone diaphragms, do capsule and coil repairs, and fix wiring. Lots of vintage dynamic microphones need conversion to use balanced output, and many also need new internal foam or silk. Ribbon microphones are often “working”, but not working their best. New ribbons can give your ribbon mics a brand new life and sound, but they need to be properly tuned, corrugated, and made of the correct material. You’ll find all of this with our repairs.

What to expect
Your microphone will be inspected upon arrival. This involves aural and visual inspection. Once a plan of repair is determined, we’ll reach out with a quote or estimate of labor. Once a plan is agreed upon, work will begin. After repairs, we send an invoice. Repairs are shipped back once invoices are paid.
