Description
A beautiful original 1960’s script logo Sennheiser MD421. The “HN” variety is more commonly known as the HL (hi/lo impedance) variety, but HN was not meant for export to english speaking areas.
This one is in marvelous condition. I’ve had dozens of these over the years, and this one probably takes the cake for the nicest looking MD421 I’ve ever had. The script logo is fantastic of course.
This has been serviced and restored for reliable and proper studio & stage use going forward. Diaphragm and capsule have been meticulously cleaned. This is a problem for a lot of vintage 421’s that don’t have proper full low-end response. Ferrous dust collects on the diaphragm and around the capsule, essentially freezing the microphone from proper use. This one is cleaned, it sounds awesome and full for decades to come. 2 position low roll off is functioning perfectly.
Special low impedance tail tuchel included, as well as original clip. The low impedance output (200 ohms) is appropriate for use with studio recording equipment and all modern live equipment. If you prefer a cable made for 10k output, please just ask and I can make that instead.
