Description
Here’s a fantastic late 70’s AKG D330 BT Hyper Cardioid Mic, clean as a whistle and ready for the studio or stage. These were most famously used by ABBA, but are a real “sleeper” outside of that.
These were designed with an internal isolation system to eliminate handling noise. Check out ABBA’s ‘Live at Wembley’ concert for proof of concept there! It has great off axis rejection as well, which is carefully documented in AKG’s literature.
What’s with the switches? There’s a 3 way low-cut switch at 100HZ for -15 and -25 DB options, as well as a high bump switch at 5K for +3 and +5db. There are some online forums discussing loving this mic for snare bottom (with ALL switches engaged for extreme snap), or on a guitar cab. I think it really excels as a vocal mic, especially engaging the hi-boost switches to taste.
Internal foam has been replaced, XLR pins and internal switch pins have been cleaned. Ships with handmade pouch and clip.
